Childhood Intervention & Abuse Prevention

This program will constitute approximately twenty percent of the organization’s efforts. Members of this prevention team will hold classes at our facilities and travel to homes providing education to adolescents and children on topics such as substance abuse, teen pregnancy, anger management as well as supplementary tutoring and mentoring in such things as computer skills, reading and writing. The purpose of Childhood Intervention & Prevention is to provide positive peer group activities while helping wherever the need is greatest. Our hope is that the potential problems of Oroville’s children will be both intercepted and prevented.
